Hi, I’m Ely (like Ellie). I’m a watercolor artist based in Rochester, New York — painting landscapes and chasing beautiful colors.

By day, I lead engineering teams and am mom to two young boys. By evening, I paint. I started watercolor about five years ago and fell in love with how unpredictable and honest the medium is.

This site is where I share the work, the process, and the mess of building an art practice while raising two small kids and holding down a career.
